Comfortable wooden sliding systems
Wooden sliding systems offered by MS Holland Kozijnen are very convenient solutions. They can be designed so that the thresholds between rooms are relatively low or practically invisible, thanks to which one space is effectively created. Various mechanisms for connecting individual elements available in this type of system offer many possibilities for creating large, coherent spaces.
Ecological wooden sliding windows
MS Holland Kozijnen offers wooden sliding systems in which the ecological aspect has been set as one of the priorities. By choosing such solutions, you can be sure that you generate a minimal carbon footprint and at the same time reduce your energy bills thanks to excellent energy efficiency. MS Holland Kozijnen only uses FSC certified wood, thus ensuring that its extraction does not negatively affect human communities, flora or fauna.
Wooden sliding systems finished with the best varnishes
In order for wooden sliding systems to offer all the advantages to their users, they must be finished with appropriate varnishes. The 4-layer varnish coatings we use in sliding systems effectively protect the wood from wear and damage. Their potential regeneration and maintenance is therefore very simple.
Large glazing in HS wooden window systems
Wood is a material with high stiffness, which means that wooden HS window systems can be characterized by above-average technical parameters allowing for a significant improvement in the ratio of glazing to profile visibility. Choosing the right type of wood means that the profiles can be barely visible and we can enjoy what is outside the window, not the window itself.
Wooden sliding systems
The use of sliding systems is a search for comfort and good design. Sometimes one of these aspects is more important, sometimes the other, and if only the budget allows it, we can try to maximize all the technical and aesthetic advantages of sliding systems. For such purposes , MS Holland Kozijnen offers wooden sliding systems, the first, most striking determinant of which is excellent design . After looking at the product cards, it also turns out that wooden HS sliding systems are characterized by excellent parameters in terms of thermal insulation, noise reduction and safety.
In wooden HS sliding systems, we usually want to achieve the largest possible glazing. This is a common trend in modern design, because we want to admire views through windows and glass doors, not their profiles.
The wooden sliding systems offered by MS Holland Kozijnen use one of the basic advantages of wood, which is the strength of this material, which translates into the rigidity of the entire window structure. This means that in wooden sliding systems, you can effectively minimize the visibility of profiles and enlarge the glazing so much that the partition between the interior and the exterior practically disappears. This provides a lot of natural light and the pleasure of staying in the interior in which such a solution has been used.
It should also be noted that the size of the glazing strongly correlates with the thermal properties of the system. Glass packages always offer better thermal insulation than profiles, regardless of the profiles used in the window construction. Therefore, reducing their surface allows for improving the thermal transmittance coefficient and thus approaching the most important ecological goal at present, which is to obtain the passive building standard.
Ecology with wooden sliding windows
When choosing joinery products, it is worth considering ecological values. Striving for aesthetic wooden sliding systems helps a lot in achieving them, because the wood from which such systems are made is a renewable, biodegradable and environmentally safe material. Starting from the end, wooden sliding systems are characterized by excellent energy parameters, which means that if we decide on such a solution, we will use less energy to heat our home or office. In this way, our carbon footprint will be reduced and we will have a smaller negative effect on our planet.
Equally important is that the raw material used in wooden sliding windows is fully biodegradable. Although the expected life of the system, i.e. its service in our homes or offices, is counted in decades, sooner or later it will have to be replaced. This will not be a problem, because even if some part of the system cannot be recycled, it will certainly biodegrade without the slightest problem.
In addition, it should be added that the wood used in joinery comes from forests that manage wood responsibly. New trees immediately appear in place of the cut trees that replace them. The production of wooden sliding systems does not harm forests in any way. It is also worth noting that the wood processing process is definitely different than, for example, in the case of aluminum. Fewer harmful chemicals are used here and significantly less pollution is generated.
Varnishes in wooden sliding systems
The use of wood in door and window joinery is aimed at obtaining better properties in terms of protection, mainly against heat loss, and higher acoustic insulation parameters. However, obtaining the appropriate visual effect is equally important for most investors. We usually choose wood because we want to surround ourselves with wood.
However, we cannot use completely natural wood. It must be properly varnished, if only to protect it from biological and mechanical factors. Varnishes are by no means just a technical measure. They largely determine what the system will ultimately look like.
The products offered by MS Holland Kozijnen use TEKNOS varnishes, a true leader and pioneer in its industry. Their colours perfectly match the natural aesthetic properties of wood, thanks to which we obtain very diverse but always impressive final effects. It must be remembered that each transparent varnish will cover wood with specific properties, which will create a specific composite, a combination of two colour notes. The varnish colours presented in the product catalogues will not look the same as in the offer once they are applied to the wood, especially if the raw material is dark.
The above comments regarding aesthetics do not of course apply to opaque varnishes that fully cover the wood. The effect obtained will be exactly the same as the color of the varnish itself, which, importantly, can be computer-selected to suit your own expectations.
Wooden sliding systems operated effortlessly
Creating sliding systems requires a lot of creativity, because there are no simple hinges with which the windows could open. It is necessary to create complex systems of rails, guides or even more complicated tools, especially since individual moving elements in wooden sliding systems can weigh up to several hundred kilograms. Without them, it would be necessary to use very great physical force to operate individual elements.
Clever force transfer systems mean that just a small amount of pressure or turning the handle is enough for the door leaf to yield without much protest. This is important not only for the user's convenience, but also for the durability of the entire system. If it were necessary to apply strong pressure, the wear of the components would increase and the durability of the entire system would decrease drastically.
